This looks really good.

4 Gotham games in a row snowed out in the Metro League but CSC is getting busy still due to adamant ground keeping at their home pitch on Stanton — read more at the Newswire.
Looks like an upswing for Gotham. After several months of ups and downs, all over the table in summer, spring and winter, injuries by key players like Taylor, Quinn, Jason, losses to LA (Brett) the squad seems to stabilizing. The core Jimenez attack force, and new additions Juan, Patrick and Steve have worked out super along with the old school core (Avi, George and Jesse).
Really tight game tonight with Dinamo LA (or NYer via LA) Tony P. between the sticks. Super quick goal by the Arup team due to faulty pass by yours truly but a quick response to even it up from a scorcher by Steve. Just before half time right fullback, Juan Camilo, in what may be the goal of the season, in a Maradona / Messi like run, including running behind a defender out of bounds and somehow ending up with the ball and from an insane angle, booooom. Obviously the description does no justice.
Andres scored the third in the second half and it was pretty and well deserved. Credit goes to everyone for hustling even Pat and his 1045 conference call to Asia. Although I gotta bust Tomas’ huevos for missing a couple shots in front of goal but after a big meal and some beers and a string of awesome strikes in recent games we can give him a break. (If Andy is the lungs of the team Tomas is the heart. Lucas, you the brains?)
Oh, a yellow card for Steve who simply responded to the “i will take care of you later after the game” threat by the Arup team member (Arup is an international engineering firm not some East New York crew) with a “what are you talking about?” Go home toys. Gotham 3 – Arup 2.

Gonna keep this short and sweet.

While you LA folks get to play in the nice sun we get to look forward to feet of snow. Needless to say the Wednesday Gotham game has been postponed. (Above is a view of McCarren Park, Brooklyn)
First game of the infamous Metro Winter Warriors season was yesterday and Gotham continues an unbeaten streak that began last fall. A side note, we finished last season at the top of the table but due to scheduling conflicts, the last 3 games will be played in March. Regardless Gotham gave up 2 early quick goals last night, mainly because everyone was still adjusting to sub freezing temperatures, high winds, a frozen pitch, and a non-goalie goalie (yours truly). New recruit Paul de Lucena fell nicely into the defensive midfield even though he was sliding with studs as if the pitch was made of concrete. We quickly regained composure and in typical, recent gotham manner strung 4-5 decent passes together to free up Andrés J down the left flank to deliver perfect service into the path of a marauding, goal hungry Brett C who neatly tucked the frozen ball into the back of the net, barely missing the carnage of a collision with the woodwork.

Mid fall season and Gotham is finally gelling with 3 wins in a row. This game should have been 5-0 easy but having 6 subs probably threw everyones rhythm off a bit. Joe S ran constantly and earned the only goal of the game. And after 5 seasons we finally remember a team photo albeit lousily taken.
This site is going to be undergoing quite a bit of changes in the next couple weeks. We hope it make it more functional for the managers and fun for the players both as a place to plan/archive games and a place to share photos, news, vidoes, comments, etc. It will also start looking better as we give it a solid Dinamo look and feel to it. Cool? More to come, back to work.
