Finally, at the fifth time of asking the Dinamos overcame a Hollywood team stacked with their big boys all wanting to win. We were without talismanic Nick E, rear guard powerhouse Filiep VdB and spray maker Sean P. Navid J tried out masterfully up top, as did Rob W at left back.
It wasn’t long before the FK squad was 1 up, but we lost a little ground in the first half, but came back from 2-1 to go into the break 2-2. Second half and it was all Dinamo, with Chappers adding to Boyley’s brace from a free kick and then Benny D poaching the fourth.
Though there was little friendly about the ‘friendly’ with our Andy D and their Sergio P both sent off. Andy’s dismissal was a bit harsh, with Sergio having lost his cool starting spitting.
That brief ugliness aside a cracking contest. Very solid, in spite of the absences and a joy to watch.
Interesting……although a little misleading. Leaving out the fact that I had a less than ordinary game in goal that night and gifted Dinamo with 2 goals, Dinamo seemed a little ” over prepared” for a “friendly” by the looks of things that night.
Despite what seem to be “devastating’ loss of key players , Dinamo had enough players for 2 full teams, by my calculation about 20 players……..we had eleven…..eleven…… and were far from stacked with our “bigboys”.
Its a little sad that a victory in a “friendly” seems to mean so much to you guys,
but as always ,history is written by the victors .
As in the case of the Sergio p and Andy d incident . Yes Serg spat and no thats not good or acceptable . However Andy kicked the shit out of him from behind prior to Sergios loss of temper, which is why they were BOTH sent off.

Accuracy is subjective in a football game.
But a little more objectivity would not compromise your ” victory” that night. You won and quite deservedly. And as always Im thrilled for Boyley when he has a cracker…ive always liked him and consider him a friend.

Oh and yes. We will have more than 11 players this week. We will actually care about winning this “league” game and we will bring a few “big guns” this time.

Of course it means a lot to us – we haven’t beaten you in the league yet – and because of the few shared playing staff it’s the nearest thing to Manchester United vs Liverpool in the LAPL – well, in LA Actually. So there’s nothing sad about wanting to win a friendly – I mean seriously, you guys are Hollywood United and we are the Dinamo Football Club, come on
You’re too self critical, you had a fine game in goal and on previous encounters you’ve played out of your skin and kept your boys in it. But this is our year, and you boys are going to have to lift your game – over the season at least. Third won’t suit us this season, and we’ve always had cracking games with Avanti (including a city unification game against our Muni Super Metro Winners Dinamo Red Star) and though we’ve some personnel difficulties (key strikers in NY shuttle) I’m sure we’ll prevail.
I’m really looking forward to Friday, I think our contests have always been lively – but I’m a bit concerned about your lad Jason’s self control so let’s hope that’s not an issue.
Outside of this contest, I’m very grateful that you guys supported the Union Football League All Star Game and at some point I’d like to see an All Star open age contest between our two LA football powerhouses. That’s the gauntlet on the floor I just threw down. Thanks for the nod on democracy, we support all sorts of open chatter – Gay marriage, Haiti, the Robin Hood Tax, Women’s Footie, the lot. its unreal that there are emails circling amongst your club, about the outrage of the above game report. Serg was hardly innocent, he kicked out first, I was watching the game, I was right there. When the Dinamo player had the gaul to stand up for himself, Serg spat at him, nice. It was then that your player, your manger I believe, told him to ‘finish it with a punch’, what a class act you lot are.
you lot still believe this is a pro league you’re in. well, reality check, its not. its a shit amateur over 30 league in LA. grow up.
