Gonna keep this short and sweet.
- The weather finally crept up past freezing and cleared Pier 40 of snow but not huge puddles of cold water.
- The oddest goal was a passback to the Jossys goalie allowing for a handball call, free kick and goal all within 15 seconds. I think Brett actually took the free kick before the call was made, knowing the ref would call handball on the goalie, and set up Quinn, who scored quickfast.
- Another highlight was Joe “Jimenez” S’s weight on a lovely pass, setting up Quinn’s second goal, that took into account a huge midfield puddle.
- Goal line clearance by Taylor which gave the subs heart palpitations.
- Lots of shit talking especially towards the opposition’s accents that were most likely from some country in the UK. (sorry dayle!)
- A Tomas “stomach goal?” Did that really happen?
- Brett C securing golden boat for the season? Quinn could give him a run if he keeps playing the way he has been
- Spectators! Lenny M.’s brothers + Jimenez bros friend
- New guys Lenny, Jovan and Paul fitting in nicely
- Dinamo Cosmos?

Glad the weather has quit messing your schedule up. Wish we were so lucky over here – we might lose some more games this weekend with the rain. The poor women’s team have only played two of the scheduled 5 ! And it might be 2 of 6 yet (wasn’t that a character on Star Trek ?).
So, lads – if FK Dinamo vs Hollywood United is like Manchester United vs Liverpool, what is the NY equivalent ?

oh well. I guess next week’s installment will have to be extra special.

dayle, i am not sure we have a rival like that. Maybe Hudson Hotspur, who Matt N. used to play for but I am not sure they know who we are. The leagues are so small and balkanized compared to the LA Muni that we only encounter a couple teams a season. I know there are some big clubs, like Dinamo LA, in NYC but just not sure where they play. Brooklyn Knights, Blatte United (who where essentially the team that wooped LA Vale in the 07 adicup here), i have heard are powerhouses.
