Dinamo Internazionale 2010
Zenit and Turbine were the only teams to win in week one. Shakhtar drew 1-1, Inter lost 3-0, Spartak lost 4-0, Red Star drew 5-5 (!) and Lokomotiv lost 3-1 – Zenit won 2-0 and Turbine won their debut game against Ladykillers (!) 3-2.
Dinamo Internazionale’s performance against LA Eclipse was peppered with the type of uncharacteristic errors that gifts the game to the opponent, and all the lads were looking a bit unfit and ropey. It will certainly work itself out, and the were flashes of the old genius
Benny Durrant in particular though, was not secumbing to the post festivities lethargy, Benny is looking sharper than anytime in the last five years – moving much more easily and really wanting it. Benny’s dropped a few kilos and is all the better for it. Ferraro 5 has been re-seeded and though a bit heavier than we’re all used to, made a nice addition to the field rotation while field 6 is being rehabbed.
Benny didn’t make the Tuesday Loko game against Silverlake FC (the Dale/Dayle match up) unfortunately, and we looked a bit tepid up top as a consequence. Again, errors hurt us – with the two Mr Reliable’s Chris Adams and Ally Christie made completely uncharacteristic slip ups. Ally headed back to the ‘keeper and Marc had come out – so quick mix up and the other Dale is in on goal. Chris lost the ball turning his man, he’s never done that before and then Dale was in there again – the bugger. Benny Scott celebrated his birthday by taking the penalty that put us 1-0 for a few short minutes. Dale got revenge for last season when he was marking me at the back post, I shook him off and volleyed Mike Krogmann’s corner into the back of the net.

damn i miss you guys and Ferraro!
